Plante de 30-50 cm, pubescente-glanduleuse, à souche ligneuse ; tiges herbacées, non épineuses
Écologie : (répartition d'après la flore) Rocailles et bois des montagnes calcaires : Alpes ; causses des Cévennes ; Corbières et Pyrénées.
Répartition hors de France : Espagne ; Suisse, Italie, Tyrol et Carinthie.

Plant 30-50 cm, pubescent-warty, Woody rootstock; herbaceous, non-thorny stems
Ecology UK: Not native to the UK - France: Rocky areas and woods of calcareous mountains: Alps; causses of the Cevennes; Corbières and the Pyrenees. Large colony (50+) signalled by myself to the PNC; not previously recorded in the Cévennes
Distribution outside France: Spain; Switzerland, Italy, Tyrol and Carinthia.
